who is omni-present and who's greatness surpasses my understanding, I often find myself lost, with just a few flower-petals in my hand to remind me of hope and faith as evidence that I still DO believe.

ABSTRACTS

My abstract paintings are mainly inspired by nature. Most of my abstract paintings start out with an intense drawing excercise of my subject. What transforms on my canvas, is the interpretation of the drawings, and not the actual subject anymore. My choice of colour is also important, to set the tone and mood of the painting.

In His Presence: My 3 great passions:the continent I live on-Africa,Art and young Children.Things I think about most:Global warming & Carbon-footprints,the impact on a child’s destiny,abuse of Creation & sometimes chocolate.I'm a romantic,blues &vintange fan.Dancing in the rain,singing at the top of my lungs in my car,trivia,playing games with family,hugging children-I LOVE THEM!!!learning,planning an abstract painting,drawing,doodling,charades,long scenic drives,swinging on swings,sitting by the water,chatting infront of a fire,sitting in bed reading,picnics in the shade of a huge tree,having power-naps,drinking good wine & discussing life,quilting,embroidery,crafts,watching talented people do their thing,watching movies on cold afternoons,watching clouds & stars under dark African-skies,watching rain fall,animals,jumping on trampolines,coffee-shop-crawl,cocktails & oldies-music,good coffees & all day breakfast,shopping in back alleys and tiny streets,cooking,finding things that inspire me to create again,decorating,eating cheap junk food,dining in style,wearing my velvet coat and high-heel shoes.
